Police shut A20 Roundhill Tunnel in Folkestone due to ‘incident’

A busy tunnel was shut due to a police incident.

Officers shut the A20 Roundhill Tunnel in Folkestone coastbound to respond to it.

Just after 8.30pm, National Highways said: “The A20 Roundhill Tunnel is closed coastbound.

“Kent Police require a temporary closure as they respond to an incident. The road is expected to reopen very soon. Diversions are via A259 and A260.”

Police have been approached for more information.
